Mobile Printing
With our mobile printing service, print using your personal computer or mobile device from anywhere and at your convenience. Submit documents for printing, and you’ll have 24 hours to pay, print, and pick up your documents. In-library copying and scanning are also available. Get Printing!

How do I…?
Answers to your most commonly asked questions about the library, its services, and how to use them.
How do I get a library card?
It’s easy! Bring 2 forms of ID into the library (with your current address on at least one ID) and fill out our library card application form.
Library cards are free for St. Albans City and Town residents and Franklin/Grand Isle County residents who are 65 and over.
Non-residents pay an annual fee of $30 per household.
How do I renew my materials?
Most library materials can be renewed online from your account in the library catalog.
Or call us at 802-524-1507 to renew materials over the phone during our business hours.
How many books can I check out?
Recommended borrowing limits:

- 8 Hardcover (2 new)
- 6 Magazines
- 4 Audio (CDs & Playaways)

- 1 Non-Traditional Item
How do I request a title not available at this library?
Purchase requests for recently published titles (within the last 6 months) can be submitted online in the “Purchase Suggestions” section of your library account.
All other titles may be requested online through interlibrary loan.
Purchase suggestions and interlibrary loan requests may also be made over the phone and in person at the library.
What can I do if a book I need is already checked out?
You can place a hold on it directly from our catalog (or we can do that for you) and we’ll notify you when the item is ready for you.
Do you accept donations of books or other materials?
Yes, we do!
When: During Library hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Where: Bring to Library Circulation Desk
How: Box/bag are preferred (no plastic crates)
How much: Up to 1 box/bags per visit (please ask about larger donations)
